The MENRED LS7 series is a family of wall-mounted LCD thermostats designed for fan coil unit control and selected combined HVAC applications. Different configurations are available for 2-pipe FCU systems, 4-pipe FCU systems, RS485 communication, potential-free output, and coordinated control of a 2-pipe FCU with a hydronic underfloor-heating circuit.
By controlling the three-speed fan and the appropriate ON/OFF valve actuator, an LS7 thermostat helps maintain the selected indoor temperature. The correct model should be chosen according to the pipe system, valve outputs, communication requirements and heating-system configuration.
| Model | System | Fan Control | Main Outputs / Functions |
|---|---|---|---|
| LS7.42 | 2-pipe FCU | High / Medium / Low | FCU valve control and three-speed fan control |
| LS7.42 (RS485) | 2-pipe FCU | High / Medium / Low | FCU valve and fan control with RS485 interface |
| LS7.42K | 2-pipe FCU | High / Medium / Low | FCU valve and fan control with potential-free output |
| LS7.50 | 4-pipe FCU | High / Medium / Low | Separate cooling-valve and heating-valve control |
| LS7.50HC | 2-pipe FCU hydronic floor heating | High / Medium / Low | FCU valve, floor-heating valve and infrared remote-control function |
RS485 identifies the physical communication interface. The required protocol, register map and BMS compatibility should be confirmed before ordering. Availability of a handheld infrared remote controller should also be confirmed for the selected LS7.50HC supply configuration.
A clear screen presents the set temperature, operating mode, fan speed, timer and valve-status information supported by the selected model.
Dedicated high-, medium- and low-speed outputs provide direct control of a conventional three-speed FCU fan.
The LS7 interface supports heating and cooling operation, with output arrangements matched to the chosen 2-pipe, 4-pipe or combined system.
ECO operation and timer controls support practical daily room-temperature management and energy-conscious operation.
The thermostat design incorporates an extendable, rotatable sensor arrangement for room-temperature measurement.
RS485, potential-free output, 4-pipe valve control and FCU-plus-floor-heating control are available through different model configurations.

In a 2-pipe fan coil system, the same water circuit is used for seasonal heating or cooling. LS7.42, LS7.42 (RS485) and LS7.42K control the FCU's three-speed fan and the valve actuator. The RS485 configuration adds a communication interface, while LS7.42K adds a potential-free output for applications that require a separate dry-contact signal.
A 4-pipe FCU has separate hot-water and chilled-water circuits. LS7.50 therefore provides separate outputs for the heating valve and cooling valve, together with high-, medium- and low-speed fan outputs. This makes LS7.50 the appropriate LS7 model when independent heating- and cooling-valve control is required.
LS7.50HC is designed for a room that combines a 2-pipe fan coil unit with a hydronic underfloor-heating circuit. It provides separate control connections for the air-conditioning valve and floor-heating valve, plus three-speed FCU fan outputs. This model is intended for water-based floor heating valve control; it should not be described or applied as a direct-load electric floor-heating thermostat.

Wiring terminals vary by LS7 model. Use only the wiring diagram supplied with the ordered configuration.
Founded in 1995, MENRED manufactures HVAC control products and integrated indoor-climate solutions for international distributors, HVAC contractors, system integrators and project partners.
Project and OEM support can be discussed according to the required model, order quantity and market requirements. Support may include model selection, private-label branding, packaging and technical documentation for qualified orders.
For an accurate recommendation, send the FCU pipe configuration, valve and fan wiring, communication requirements, hydronic floor-heating arrangement, supply voltage, estimated quantity and destination market.
LS7.42, LS7.42 (RS485) and LS7.42K are 2-pipe FCU configurations. They control an FCU valve and a three-speed fan, with RS485 or potential-free output available on the corresponding model.
LS7.50 is the 4-pipe model. It provides separate outputs for the cooling valve and heating valve, together with high-, medium- and low-speed fan control.
LS7.50 controls a 4-pipe FCU with separate cooling and heating valves. LS7.50HC controls a 2-pipe FCU together with a hydronic underfloor-heating valve. They are different system configurations.
No direct electric-heating load control is specified in the supplied LS7.50HC documentation. Its wiring diagram shows valve control for a water-based floor-heating circuit, so it should be selected as a hydronic floor-heating and FCU thermostat.
The product information confirms an RS485 interface but does not, by itself, confirm a specific communication protocol. Request the protocol documentation and register map before planning BMS integration.
It refers to an isolated dry-contact output that can provide a switching signal without supplying operating voltage to the connected circuit. The contact rating and intended connection should be confirmed for the project before ordering.
MENRED can discuss OEM branding, packaging, model selection and project documentation for qualified orders. Requirements depend on the selected configuration, quantity and destination market.
Send us your FCU pipe system, fan and valve wiring, communication requirements, supply voltage and estimated quantity. MENRED will help you identify the appropriate LS7 configuration for your HVAC project or distribution market.
