The MENRED LS8 series is an LCD 2-pipe FCU thermostat designed to control an on/off valve actuator and the three-speed fan of a fan coil unit. It supports cooling, heating and ventilation operation, helping maintain the selected room temperature in residential, commercial and light-commercial HVAC applications.
In a 2-pipe fan coil system, the same water circuit is used for cooling or heating according to the operating season. The LS8 thermostat measures the indoor temperature through its built-in sensor and controls the connected valve and fan to help the room reach the selected setpoint.
The clear LCD shows the indoor temperature, setting temperature, operating mode, fan speed and valve status. Front-panel buttons provide direct access to temperature adjustment, fan speed, operating mode and power control. Advanced settings can be used for temperature calibration, heating and cooling setpoint limits and power-on state selection.
For LS8.42 operation, press and hold the mode / fan-speed button for approximately five seconds to switch between heating and cooling modes. A short press selects high, medium or low fan speed. The advanced-settings menu also allows the installer or authorized operator to calibrate the displayed temperature, define the power-on / power-off recovery state, set the maximum heating setpoint and set the minimum cooling setpoint.

Er0 indicates a fault in the built-in temperature sensor, while Er1 indicates a fault in the external sensor. The thermostat and sensor wiring should be checked by a qualified technician with the power safely disconnected.
