The MENRED Lech WVCB1.B01 is a cartridge-type sediment pre-filter for residential main water lines. Its PP sediment cartridge helps capture sand, rust particles and suspended matter before water reaches downstream treatment equipment and household appliances.
The unit has a listed filtration flow rate of 2.5 m³/h. Filtration options within the 5–40 μm range allow the cartridge specification to be matched to incoming water conditions. Confirm the required filtration rating and supplied cartridge configuration when ordering.
A PP sediment cartridge captures particulate material as water passes through the filter. Select the filtration rating according to sediment loading, required flow and the needs of downstream equipment. A finer rating may require closer attention to cartridge condition and pressure loss.
This cartridge-type unit should be maintained according to its product instructions. It is different from a reusable mesh pre-filter that removes accumulated sediment by flushing. Cartridge servicing and replacement depend on incoming water quality and actual use.
Bypass operation can support water supply during cartridge servicing, but water passing through the bypass is unfiltered. Follow the installation and servicing instructions before changing modes or opening the housing.

Actual flow and pressure loss depend on supply pressure, cartridge rating, sediment loading and installation conditions. Confirm connection size, supplied cartridge and operating requirements before ordering.
Install the unit on the incoming water line, upstream of the equipment it is intended to protect. Confirm the marked flow direction and reserve sufficient space below the housing for cartridge removal and servicing.
Keep inlet pressure within the recommended 0.1–0.4 MPa range and operating water temperature within 5–38°C. Protect the installation from freezing. Isolate and depressurise the unit according to the product instructions before opening the housing.
Inspect cartridge condition regularly. Sediment accumulation can increase pressure loss and reduce flow. Set the servicing and replacement schedule according to incoming water quality, water consumption and the product instructions.
The Lech WVCB1.B01 can be considered for residential installations requiring cartridge-based sediment pre-filtration before downstream treatment equipment. It provides particle filtration rather than complete drinking-water purification.
Sediment filtration does not replace water softening, disinfection or treatment of dissolved contaminants. Select the complete treatment system according to incoming water quality and the intended use.

The PP sediment cartridge helps capture sand, rust particles and suspended matter. It provides first-stage particle filtration rather than complete drinking-water purification.
The product information lists filtration options within the 5–40 μm range. Confirm the available cartridge ratings and supplied configuration with MENRED before ordering.
The listed filtration flow rate is 2.5 m³/h. Actual flow depends on supply pressure, cartridge rating, sediment loading and installation conditions.
Bypass mode allows water to pass without cartridge filtration, subject to the installation layout. Water supplied in this mode is unfiltered.
Cartridge inspection, servicing and replacement are required according to water quality, usage and the product instructions. This unit should not be treated as a maintenance-free reusable mesh filter.
Confirm the required flow, cartridge rating, connection size, inlet pressure, water temperature and maintenance clearance. Follow the product instructions for installation and depressurisation before servicing.
