MENRED GMP1 is a single-conductor electric underfloor heating cable with a listed rated voltage of 230 VAC, nominal linear output of 18.5 W/m, IPX7 protection and circumferential shielding. Cold leads at both ends require a return path to the connection area.
The loose-cable format allows the floor layout and spacing to be planned around the usable heating area. GMP1 is intended for residential and commercial projects specifying a single-conductor floor heating cable.

Reference areas are for preliminary selection. Final selection depends on usable heating area, target output, heat loss, spacing and floor construction. Confirm current model designation, rated power, length and electrical data before ordering.
The cable output of 18.5 W/m describes heat output per metre of cable. Floor output depends on how much cable is installed within the usable heating area. Select the total cable power and spacing together with the room heat-loss calculation and floor-covering limits.
Both GMP1 cold leads must be routed to the designated connection area. Plan the starting point, cable route and return path before installation. If single-end connection is preferred, compare the MENRED GMTX dual-conductor heating cable.
Loose cable provides layout flexibility where project-specific routing and spacing are needed. A MENRED electric underfloor heating mat uses preset spacing for regular heating areas. Read the heating mat vs heating cable selection guide for layout considerations.
Use an appropriate electric floor heating thermostat and floor sensor. The selected thermostat, switching arrangement and electrical circuit must match the confirmed cable load. Follow the installation manual and local requirements for protective grounding, residual-current protection and electrical testing.
GMP1 is a single-conductor resistance heating cable for electric underfloor heating. Its nominal linear output is 18.5 W/m and it has cold-lead connections at both ends.
The single-conductor construction requires both cold leads to be connected. Plan the floor layout so the second end can return to the designated connection area.
No. W/m is output per metre of cable. Floor output in W/m² depends on the installed cable length and heated area, or the cable spacing. Select the spacing according to the heating design and installation instructions.
Do not cut the heating section to shorten it. Select the correct factory cable length and power for the usable heating area. Do not cross, overlap or stack the heating cable.
Select an electric floor heating thermostat with suitable supply voltage, load capacity and floor-sensor control. Confirm the actual cable current and circuit requirements for the selected model before installation.
No. The listed maximum cable temperature is not a floor-surface setpoint. Floor temperature limits must follow the floor-covering requirements and heating-system design.
Send the usable heating area, required output, supply voltage, floor construction, quantity and destination market. Confirm whether single-conductor construction and two-end connection are required.
